Baby Briar's 9 Month Disney Milestone Shoot- Tale As Old as Time

Briar is 9 Months Old!

Now it's no wonder that her name means beauty! Once again, another month has come and gone. This month seems to be the fastest to fly by. It genuinely feels like it's been a week since her last milestone update. We've had some life changes, as we are staying with my parents for a few months until our next move (I'll make a location announcement once things become more official). Something about being out of your own bubble makes time feel so strange on top of the strange time of having a baby. Not too much has changed with Briar this month personality wise. She is still happy, independent, curious, and loves affection. But here are the things that have updated since last month!

🌹Briar is climbing, crawling, and pulling herself up to stand
🌹the teething fairy came HARD with 3 new teeth, so now she has a total of 6 teeth (4 on the bottom 2 on top). The days she’s teething has been hard for her, but thankfully her new teeth pop up quickly so she doesn’t have pain for long.
🌹Briar is best friends with Nova and loves to chase her around and play with her, and Nova loves to play with Briar too!
🌹She is such a fan of exploring and wants to be held less and less :(
🌹Briar gives kisses and high fives
🌹She loves her toothbrush and toys that aren’t actually toys but household items like remotes
🌹She says mamamamamama all the time
🌹Our usual tricks to make her laugh hardly work anymore, we just get a slight smile so it’s time to come up with new ways to make her laugh
🌹As always she’s adored everywhere we go

Tutorial:
First I took all the roses off of the stems and placed them against the wall in a row as if it was a full rose vine. I pulled the leaves off and put them in any gaps. I then put the rose dome on the left side first, and Mrs Potts and Chip on the right side. For some of the shots I had Briar hold the rose dome or had it in front of her. I had Briar face me as well as the wall for different shots and angles. My mom did help to get her attention to look at me as she was quite distracted by the props, but I also allowed her to play with the props for candids.

Tips photographing a baby:
-Set up while your baby is napping!
-Once they wake, feed them, change their diaper, then put on their outfit.
-Make it fun, have positive energy. Babies feed off you. If you are stressed, they will be.
-Get a binky that matches what you are photographing. If they get fussy at a certain point don't be afraid to get a few pictures of them with a binky.
-Photograph on the ground on their level, try different angles, get close ups, don't be afraid to move around.
-Use a squeaky toy and your voice to get them to look at the camera.
-If they are rowdy or in a grabbing phase, keep their hands busy with a toy similar to the theme.

I hope this gave some inspiration for you! Let me know in the comments what you think! Will you be trying this?
